Pastor Dave is a veteran pastor-teacher and shepherd having served several churches in Illinois and Pennsylvania throughout the past three decades. He has the heart, passion and vision of a church planter having been used of the Lord to successfully re-plant a local church in Central IL.

As a graduate of Baptist Bible College and Seminary of PA, he is a careful student and teacher of the Word of God, loves theology and is an avid reader.  He is the founder of Sports4Him, a web-based ministry that assists local churches in their desire to minister to athletes, coaches, officials and sports fans alike.

His vision for GraceLife Church is to raise up and train an assembly of believers who passionately love, serve, and proclaim Christ. He has a heart for evangelism and loves the Doctrines of Grace.

Pastor Dave is an avid sports fan and sometimes feels like a fish out of water in the northeast.  He follows the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Bears and Illinois Fighting Illini but secretly enjoys watching the Phillies, Eagles and the Nittany Lions as well.

He and his wife Kathy have three children who all love the Lord (Matt 23, Amanda 20, and Allyson 12).

As Executive Pastor of Ministries, Pastor Flip's desire is to "proclaim Him… that we may present every man complete in Christ." (Col 1:28)  He resides in Schaefferstown with his wife Melissa and their three daughters, loves his coffee, enjoys reading, fly-fishing, sports, and meals that involve steak.

Bruce Burkholder
Lay Elder & Director of Worship

Bruce, who completed his undergraduate training at Trinity College in Florida with graduate work at Millersville University in Pennsylvania, has been involved in ministry since his days as a student pastor in the Clearwater-St. Petersburg area.  Having done extensive evangelistic work throughout the Eastern United States and Canada, he was the founder and Executive Director of Genesis Ministries, a ministry that served local churches in south-central Pennsylvania via the creation and sponsorship of varied workshops and seminars featuring renowned theologians and Bible teachers from around the country.

Currently an instructor in social studies at the Milton Hershey School where he has worked for the past fifteen years, Bruce’s love of american history led him to found the school’s HISTORY AMERICA program which provides students the opportunity to travel to historic sites all across the country.

Serving in the capacity of Elder, Adult Sunday School teacher and Director of Worship at GraceLife, Bruce’s heartbeat is to assist in the on-going cultivation of corporate worship that truly honors God, and to promote (through the GraceLife Bookstore), materials designed to enrich and strengthen a deep and abiding love for God’s sovereign grace among those who have been saved by it.

A rabid Pittsburg Steeler’s fan, who also enjoys a good suspenseful movie now and then, Bruce resides in Hershey with his teen-aged sons Aaron (20) and Matthew (20).

Leon Ziegler
Lay Elder & Sunday School Superintendent

In addition to his responsibilities as an Elder, Leon serves as Sunday School Superintendent, Grace Group co-leader and teacher at GraceLife.  He grew up on a southeast Lebanon dairy farm, the youngest of five children.  At an early age, with family and church always being a big part of his life, God revealed to him through His Word that he was a sinner (Rom 3:23), and needed a Savior (Rom 5:8).

After some turbulent teenage years, Leon met a precious family from Nebraska who the Lord used to disciple him and draw him back to Himself.  At the age of 19, he met his wife Donna and they were married in 1981.  Together, Leon and Donna, who own and operate a dairy farm, have been blessed to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. They have five children: Ryan (married to Rachael), Craig, David, Katie (married to John) and Sarah.  Their heart’s desire is to serve the Lord until He comes or calls them home.  To God be the glory!  Job 23:10; Acts 20:24; Prov 3:5-6.
